Who can join?
The community is for adults aged 18 or over who want to meet people and practise languages. Register with accurate information and keep your password private.
How do I complete my profile?
Open your profile from the account menu. Add an introduction, interests, languages and the kind of connection you are looking for. Share only information you are comfortable making visible to other people.

Open Browse Members and use the filters for name, location, age and languages. Open a profile to learn more. Save profiles to Bookmarks or send a friend request. Friendship appears for both people after the request is accepted.

Send text, reply to a message, add reactions and suggest language corrections. Use conversation filters, search, the calendar or paged history to find earlier messages.

Check your connection and the other member’s privacy settings. A block or restrictions on who may send messages can prevent delivery. Keep your draft and try again only after the problem is resolved.
Does deleting a conversation erase it for the other person?
Deleting your copy of a conversation does not delete the other person’s copy. Blocking stops further interaction. The recipient may already have read or saved content.
Are photo albums still available?
Yes. Photo albums are separate from chat attachments. Create an album in Photos, upload images you have permission to share and choose its visibility. Check that setting before sharing an album.

Create a trip with a destination and dates in Trips. Other members can see published travel plans. Avoid posting your exact accommodation or other sensitive travel details. You can remove your own trips.
Open section →How do I report or block someone?
Use the report or block action on the profile or in the conversation. Describe the problem and include relevant context. Manage blocked accounts in Settings. For an immediate threat, contact local emergency services; this site is not an emergency service.
Open section →Where are privacy and security settings?
Settings contains privacy controls, message filters, notification preferences, password changes and active sessions. You can end other sessions, pause your account or delete it. Pausing is temporary; deletion removes your account and associated records from the active site database.

Contact Us saves your request inside the site. Signed-in members can return to their request list. Guests must save the private access code displayed after submission. Check the request page for an answer; no email delivery is required.
